Many technical problems have to be solved in order to light an Olympic swimming pool such as the Kirishi pool.
Extremely harsh ambient conditions are present in an indoor swimming pool due to high temperature and high humidity. Also, it is necessary to avoid glare through control of light emission.
TV pictures are transmitted from the Kirishi swimming pool, where the Russian womens national waterpolo team trains, with the lighting level calculated to meet this particular requirement.

because of the asymmetrical optics, which produce an excellent
glare free photometric performance.
The optimum vertical lighting level produces perfect light
conditions for televised transmissions.
The antivaacum breathing device installed on the body allows
a perfect change of air inside the fitting.
This system protects the glass diffuser and gasket from
thermical stress and the floodlight is suitable for use in a
maximum ambient temperature of 40° C.
