SBP has floodlit two important stadiums in Denmark: the Randers stadium and the Silkeborg stadium.
Both stadium lighting projects were completed using the SBP RAY 2000W, high performance floodlight, which allows high design flexibility.
The large reflecting surface of the RAY 2000 produces an excellent light output, dramatically reducing light pollution with optimum colour rendition for Television.
In these projects as in others SBP was able to produce the lighting levels required for different levels of play.
When all floodlights are switched on, both horizontal and vertical lighting levels are suitable for TV transmission.
Four different lighting levels all with optimum uniformity can be obtained in both stadiums by separate floodlight switching.
In both installations, the RAY 2000W HQI-TS floodlights (180 in Randers and 144 in Silkeborg) were installed on 40 metre masts utilising all four available optics (7°,15°, 34° and 60°).
